A fascinating couple of years has passed and more and more I am persuaded that business is wholly about people. The team, the clients and of course, elected members and the community, each with their own personal agendas, perspectives ad emotions. In a small business like ours, ‘people’ are absolutely critical and on that basis I am delighted to welcome two new starters at Marengo Communications, Tess Kaunhoven and Sarah Clifton who both join the team as Associates in our head office.
Tess and Sarah are looking forward to getting stuck into more exciting projects in 2020 and we are thrilled to have them on board! The growth of our team means that we can continue to offer our clients the best and effective service in the Marengo style – the hourglass model – with Nick Vose, Steve Jolly and I continuing to do the client work.

Tess brings strong administrative skills and strengths in data analysis and report writing and has over 20 years’ experience in working within primary education and publishing. Tess will be providing administrative support to the team ensuring the smooth and efficient day to day running of the business.
Sarah has worked in a variety of roles across the private and public sector specialising in marketing and communications. Sarah will be providing general administrative support and focus on marketing and communications.
As we approach our third birthday, we have just completed our 25th consultation event (this time for City & Country); we’re also delighted to be co-hosting an event in Exeter titled: Housing in 2020: delivering the homes we need on 6th March with JLL. We’ve just worked out that our strategic land projects have promoted just over 50,000 new homes in the 30 months since we’ve been in business. We’re absolutely loving the breadth and range of client projects, working with councillors from all political parties, helping to deliver homes, shopping centres, community facilities and even new schools.
